AS Castelldefels was present in the Electoral Meeting of the EUROAVIA Annual Congress (EMEAC) held by AS Lyon. In this congress, the new Designated International Board candidates were elected, paving the way for the future Business Year of the association at an international level. AS Castelldefels participated in the debates and decision-making of the congress with the attendance of the president of the local board. 

It was a great event to get to know the network this family has to offer, as more than 60 people from different Local Groups (LG) and countries came together to discuss crucial issues that will affect the future of the association, exchanging different points of view and participating in interesting debates. And there was also time to have fun during the Cultural Night, the final dinner, and the breaks between meetings. 

We had the pleasure of visiting the facilities of ANSYS France, one of the main sponsors of the event. There, we enjoyed some insightful presentations about what opportunities can ANSYS offer to our network and an excellent presentation about wellbeing and work environment by one of EUROAVIA’s mentors.

It really was an excellent event, held by an exceptional team of professional people. Never before a PAS (Prospective Affiliate Society) had ever held a congress, the most complicated event due to its logistical challenges. Lyon became an AS in the same congress after a proposed motion signed by most of the congress attendees.
